I thought this was a good place to stay. It had been remodeled and looked pretty nice--they cut a few corners on the remodel, but overall it was pretty nice. It was a family run hotel, but seemed to be run very well. The breakfast was nice. The pool was very clean and super warm. Almost too warm, .....
The location was very easy to get to. The room entries were in an inside hall, however, the outside door nearest our rooms were not locked. In fact, the locking mechanisms were missing from door. Joplin KOA is located on the Southwest corner of Joplin, and is easily accessible from I-44, at exit #4. This is the first campground before/after the Oklahoma Turnpike. It is a convenient stop for fuel, food, shopping or entertainment.
